About Me
Hey there — I’m Gabriele Abate, an aspiring philosopher, aspiring translator, and aspiring writer (some days more aspiring than others). I study at the University of Calabria, where I spend an unreasonable amount of time thinking about Deleuze, Guattari, Michel Serres, Spinoza, and Nicholas of Cusa — and occasionally about lunch.
My work (or my attempts at it) moves between philosophy, literature, and science, chasing forms, silences, and the playful side of thought. I see translation as a way of thinking through languages — a slow dance between meaning and misunderstanding.
This blog is where I share reflections, experiments, and half-serious ideas that might one day become something more.
